    just a word of caution....the less expensive plasmas have been experienceing BIG problems. major pixel loss, dimming, and total picture loss...and their warranties are less than good (its all about the fine print).

    if i was looking in that size, id try and find a mitsubishi wt-42413 42" widescreen hdtv. rock solid, attractive, upgradeable, and affordable.

    Not really looking for a plasma screen. That one I mentioned was soooo much cheaper than everything else. It was a deawoo.

    Thinking more along the lines of a widescreen LCD that is HD ready. Any problems that I should watch out for with LCD's?

    the LCD flatpanels are pretty reliable. the zenith, sony, sharp, and mitsubishi are pretty nice.

    now if your talking LCD rear projection...thats a whooooole different ballgame.
